The Financial Review Committee (FRC) will meet July 8-9 to review C4 budget proposals.

NOTE: Significant changes to the JWST budget submission and review processes

There are significant changes to the JWST budget submission and review processes. Refer to the Budget Notification Letter (sent March 26, 2025) and the document included at the end of the letter titled, “JWST C4 - Changes to Budget Submission & Review Processes”. Programs with budgets that do not meet the requirements stated in the notification letter will not be accepted and will not be reviewed at the annual FRC meeting in July. These programs will have the opportunity to resubmit for review at a later Interim Financial Review Committee meeting. This may result in the potential delay of funding.

Space Telescope Grants Administration

The grants administration team is responsible for the administration and management of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) grant programs awarded by the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) to the astronomical community in accordance with NASA, STScI, the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), and federal requirements, policies, procedures, and standard practices.

All budget and post-award grant processes occur within the Space Telescope Grants Management System, known as STGMS. This system allows users direct access to grant information, including budget submissions and approvals; grant awards and amendments; financial and performance reports; transfer requests, and much more.

The STScI General Grant Provisions, December 2018, Revision B (GGP) provide the general rules and regulations applicable to all grants awarded by the Space Telescope Science Institute.
